Place Books in Little Free Library
Our Little Free Library is located near the northwest entrance to the parking lot. (Across from the entrance to Chick-Fil-A) A Little Free Library is a free book-sharing box where anyone may take a book or share a book, and it functions on the honor system. You do not need to share a book in order to take one. If you take a book or two from a little library, try to bring some to share to that same library, or another in your area, when you can.
Place Food Items in Little Free Food Pantries
Our food pantries are located near the northwest entrance to the parking lot (across from the entrance to Chick-Fil-A and Walmart Neighborhood Market). The pantries, provided by the Girl Scouts, hold canned goods and protein items, are stocked by FPC members and the community and are utilized by our community’s homeless population and food-insecure families. Members can leave canned goods such as beans, Vienna sausages, beans and franks, protein bars, nutritional drinks, and packets of tuna, cans of chicken, or tins of Spam. Our community appreciates bagged snacks and candy bars as well!
Help with Daily Bread
On the fourth Thursday of each month, our church partners with First United Methodist Church to feed the food insecure and the needy at FUMC’s Amazing Grace CafĂ©. Volunteers can donate prepared food, help cook and clean, or visit with participants. We also welcome monetary donations to the mission, and the balance of the funds that support this ministry can be found in the bulletin on Sundays.

Participate in Local and Global Missions
Our Mission Ministry Team supports the Kitale/Seeds Ministry, a K-12 institution that educates and serves children from a poverty-stricken area of Kenya. Members may volunteer to help with our various fundraisers to provide financial assistance to the students and also participate in a future mission trip to Kitale, Kenya. Additionally, volunteers can participate in work projects to help those who need assistance in central Arkansas.

Participate in Earth Day Activities (April 22)
Our church commits itself to God’s command in Genesis 2:15 “to take care of the garden.” Thus, on the weekend of Earth Day, volunteers have activities tailored to different age groups that help educate our church community concerning ways that we can care for our environment in our daily lives.
