Youth Leader

Job Description
PLEASE NOTE: While some remote work is possible, applicants should be available for on-site work weekly.

Summary
The Youth Leader’s primary responsibilities are to provide oversight of Youth Ministries and to serve as point person for all Youth events and initiatives, such as Sunday School, Sunday Evening Youth Gatherings, and Wednesday Evening Programing.

Structure
This position is a part-time, hourly (non-exempt) position of approximately 5-7 hours per week, paying $15/ hour.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Family Ministries Leader and Children Ministries Team
  • Develop Youth Ministries events
  • Coordinate arrangements for events
  • Coordinate promotional materials for special events
  • Enter events into the Planning Center and communicate with the Facilities Team regarding special needs for events
  • Direct staff and volunteers as needed during events

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience organizing events with multiple volunteers and many moving parts
  • Proficient with email and Google Docs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with youth
  • Familiarity/Experience with the mission and values of PC(USA)

This position and employee’s performance are both subject to annual evaluations.


Children’s Ministry Leader

Family Ministries Leader & Administrator

The Family Ministries Leader and Administrator’s primary responsibilities are to design and oversee Family Ministry events, promote events via social media and other outlets, work with Children and Youth events staff, and communicate with church members for staffing and attendance.

Structure
This position is a part-time, hourly (non-exempt) position of approximately 5-7 hours per week, paying $15/ hour.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Family Ministries and Children and Youth Ministries Team to develop ideas for special events for children and families
  • Coordinate arrangements for events, including volunteers
  • Coordinate promotional materials for special events
  • Create social media content to promote events and provide information
  • Enter events into the Planning Center and communicate with the Facilities Team regarding special needs for events
  • Direct staff and volunteers as needed during events

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience organizing events with multiple volunteers and many moving parts
  • Proficient with email, Google Docs, and social media platforms
