Bible Survey

Jim Lane leads this in-depth lecture-based study of the Bible from Genesis to Revelations. The class began with the Book of Genesis last spring and studied Exodus last fall.

College Class

This class is a gathering of college students from around Conway for fellowship and faithful discussion. Young adults not currently in college are also welcome to attend. The class is currently studying topics from The Thoughtful Christian website (www.thethoughtfulchristian.com).

Faith and Fellowship

This discussion-based class is led by a different member of the class each week. Beginning Sunday, February 15th, the class is embarking on a 4-month parenting study, using the curriculum: Parenting - The Early Years: 10 Biblical Traits Your Kids Will Remember You For, by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. While the curriculum focuses on "the early years," the class is appropriate for parents of infants through teens (and even those who expect to be parents someday!).

Heads, Hearts, & Hands

In March 2009, The Head, Heart, and Hands Sunday School class will embark on a study of 1st Peter. Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, was considered by many the apostle of hope. There are many challenges to hope. People suffer. We suffer. Where is our anchor to such suffering? In Hebrews 6:19, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure..." Our hope in Christ guarantees our safety just as an anchor holds a ship in position (NIV commentary). The study of 1st Peter will be like the anchor that stabilizes us in the storms of life. We hope during this study that the class sees more clearly how suffering, grace, and glory unite. Peter gives the suffering people the assurances that their suffering will one day be transformed into glory. The grace of God is integral to such transformation. This class is appropriate for those who long for such a transformation and long for fellowship among other brothers and sisters in Christ. The class will be facilitated by Renee Hunter, Frances Hendricks, and Mark Cooper.

Present Word

This class uses the PCUSA "Present Word" curriculum to facilitate mastery of Bible content and understanding of the Bible in relation to life experiences. Martha Lierley leads this class.

Seasons of the Spirit

Annette Greenland leads this discussion-based class that uses the "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum to study the weekly lectionary Bible verses. The sermons in worship often pertain to the weekly lectionary Bible verses.
