Our eighteen deacons, nominated and voted by the congregation, each leads an Undershephard group.  Each of these groups consists of several families within the church.  The deacon takes care that each family in her or his group is taken care of.  If they are sick, the deacon will make sure they are visited, prayed for, etc.
