All three groups meet weekly for Sunday School (9:00 a.m.), Youth Group (Sundays at 5:30 p.m., including dinner), and for study and "How Great is Our God" worship on Wednesday evenings during Way Out Wednesday.  We invite all youth to join us at any time!

Mission Trip 2008

June 29-July 5, 2008

Destination Unknown

The youth from FPC and 500 youth from across the country will meet at the Workcamp in Poplar Bluff, MO.  From the Workcamp Brochure: "An elderly woman lives in an aging home with her adult handicapped son.  They desperately need home repairs.  She wonders how long she can stay in her home and what will happen to her son if she can't.  Many people like this are unable to afford home repairs and pray for help. Within this community many homes are in disrepair, needing both interior and exterior maintenance.  This challenge presents you with the opportunity to reach out to residents with a meaningful mixture of Christian labor and love.”  Home repair is just part of the story… Our youth from FPC will share the love of Christ with people by performing much needed home repairs. They’ll serve as they’ve never served before. And, over six days, we will see our young peoples Christian faith deepened.

Montreat 2008

Week VI: July 27-August 2, 2008

Throw Open the Doors!Montreat 2007

From montreat.org:  "The Bible is full of stories that teach us that the good news is meant to be shared! God calls us to reach out and invite others to join us on our journey of faith and mission in the world. Come join us as we embrace our identity as children of God and make, renew, and deepen connections with Jesus Christ, the church, and others."

Nine of our senior high youth and two adult chaperones will join as many as 1200 other youth as they participate in daily energizers, music, meaningful keynote presentations, powerful worship, and many other activities.  Each youth will also join small groups that will explore the conference theme "Throw Open the Doors" while giving the youth the opportunity to make new friends and become closer to God as they experience the Spirit like they never have before.  Montreat truly is a special place!
